So it’s a post about posting a post in a post entitled In Class Post. I suppose that makes this a post reply entitled Re: In Class Post about a post that discusses posting a post in a post entitled In Class Post.
It’s reached the point where I’m not sure I’ve been spelling “post” correctly.
Oh, and hi.
Great posts about posts.
I feel like I know so much more about you, Ryan. (what’s the proper emoticon for “professionally appropriate snark”?)
I’m interested in two things here, Dr. Mason.
1) What fascinating things did you learn?!
and
2) What sane person is awake at 5:11am? However, if coffee is present, it’s all good. Everybody here, I believe, has experienced those nights. How else are we former English undergraduates going to finish our papers at 3am the night before it’s due without sounding like a crazed madman or madwoman? (Suggestions are helpful unless said suggestion involves the elimination of the procrastination epidemic at which your suggestion is subject to censorship.)
In regards to the emoticon, I’d choose the happy “:D,” or if you’re feeling fancy, the slightly more labor intensive “>.>.” If those aren’t emoticons, well, I’m sorry. I’m a bit lost as to the differences between emoticons, emojis, and whatever else they’re called. They’re all smileys to me.
If I do need to elaborate more about myself however, I’d be happy to discuss a graphic short story (not graphic as in violence but as in a graphic novel) I had to make for a graphic novel class that centers around a character my friends and I developed over the course of the semester named “The Shut Up Kid” that is in fact a duck. The idea came to fruition at 3am at a Denny’s. I know how that sounds.
In the spirit of an introduction post though, I shall elaborate. My name is Ryan, and I grew up in a city/town/thing called Monroe in Louisiana. I’ve spent the last 6-7 years of my life in New Orleans though, and it has mostly become what I consider home as I do in fact go back to New Orleans when I return home. I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, and I am now pursuing my M.A. with a focus in science fiction and fantasy.
